Sui in Seoul: A Week of Innovation and Connection at KBW 2025

Korea Blockchain Week proved to be an unforgettable moment for Sui, as the ecosystem’s leadership, partners, and community came together across a series of events that highlighted both its institutional relevance and its cultural momentum.
From the opening at Hashed’s private curated event, EastPoint:Seoul, to our capstone full day of programming at Sui Builder House: APAC, Sui’s presence in Seoul highlights the network’s growing role as a coordination layer for digital assets, applications, and communities across Asia-Pacific.
Setting the tone at EastPoint
The week began on Monday at EastPoint:Seoul, a private conference where regulators, institutions, and Web3 leaders discussed the future of digital assets in Korea. Kevin Boon, President of Mysten Labs, joined a panel on U.S. regulatory and market structure developments, offering a global perspective that resonated with an audience eager to understand how policy decisions abroad will shape local markets.
Making waves at IMPACT
Over the following two days, Sui took the stage at the KBW: IMPACT conference, combining thought leadership on the main stage with community-driven gatherings.

Tuesday began with two standout solo sessions:
- Adeniyi Abiodun, CPO and Co-Founder of Mysten Labs, introduced the Sui Stack as the coordination layer for apps, AI agents, and everything in between, along with an inteview with CoinDesk.
- Kostas Chalkias, Chief Cryptographer and Co-Founder of Mysten Labs, explored the intersection of blockchain and AI in his talk, Sui + AI: The On-Chain Mind.
Together, these talks framed Sui as a platform uniting performance, programmability, and new frontiers, including AI with Mysten Labs’ new AI advisor Theofanis Karaletsos, Head of AI at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

That evening, the community changed gears with An Evening with Sui. Hosted in Seongsu, this gathering created space for over 800 partners, builders, and VIPs to connect in an elegant setting, inviting conversations that will continue to shape the ecosystem in the months to come.
Wednesday moved the spotlight to gaming. A panel featuring industry leaders from across the region discussed how Sui’s architecture enables games to be designed, deployed, and scaled with greater ease and flexibility. The day ended with Ready. Sui. Play! in Gangnam, where more than 350 developers, creators, and players gathered for a night of games, demos, and socializing.

Adeniyi Abiodun highlighted the impact of gaming and Korea's importance with the following: "Games can break down barriers. People in Africa can play games together without spatial constraints. I believe this characteristic can have a positive impact on society. Gaming is also one of the most important projects in Sui, and Korea has many good partners who make games well."
Sui Builder House: APAC
The week culminated on Thursday with Sui Builder House: APAC, the flagship gathering that captured the energy and ambition of the ecosystem. The venue buzzed with 600 builders, partners, and community members eager to connect and learn.

The program wove together regional strategy, product innovation, and ecosystem showcases. Opening remarks emphasized Sui’s deepening commitment to the Asia-Pacific region, which set the stage for a wave of sessions and announcements, including:
- The unveiling of new product milestones, including Slush, Seal, and BTCfi integrations.
- Ecosystem partners spanning payments, gaming, and AI shared how they are evolving their respective industries using the Sui Stack.
- CUDIS announced their unique device, leveraging the Sui Stack to enhance health data coordination and analytics, paired with a limited edition Sui CUDIS Ring.
- t’order announced a partnership with Sui to integrate stablecoin payments and onchain loyalty data into its nationwide real-time ordering network, bringing blockchain to everyday commerce in Korea.
- Live demos in the Partner Zone from CUDIS, SuiNS, Walrus, and Seal.
The atmosphere was both celebratory and forward-looking, as attendees networked, explored new tools, and looked towards how to bring the next wave of applications to life on Sui.
