Sui To Add LayerZero, Unlocking Access to Potentially $70B of Assets
LayerZero to integrate Sui, unlocking cross-chain liquidity and interoperability for builders and users alike.

LayerZero, a leading interoperability protocol connecting more than 140 blockchains and enabling over $120 billion in transfer volume, has partnered with Sui to enable connectivity at scale for Sui-based assets.
“We’re continuing to remove the barriers that prevent global coordination by eliminating the friction users and builders face when navigating today’s fragmented landscape,” said Christian Thompson, Managing Director of Sui Foundation. “Sui’s integration with LayerZero is another step in that direction. With LayerZero, Sui becomes a first-class participant in the multi-chain economy, opening the door for applications and assets to move with the speed and simplicity the Sui ecosystem is known for.”
Enabling greater flow
With LayerZero coming to Sui, assets can expand both into Sui and outward from Sui through standardized connectivity. Across the broader crypto ecosystem, the Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard already powers 400+ assets worth $80B+ like WBTC, PYUSD, USDT0 and more – which can expand to Sui as well. By preserving a single global supply across chains, LayerZero’s OFT standard eliminates fragmentation and keeps assets adaptable to future standards and blockchains.
This integration will streamline how tokens reach Sui, enabling OFT-compatible assets to be issued natively on Sui.
“Sui brings a level of performance, scalability, and developer friendliness that makes it a perfect addition to the LayerZero network,” said Bryan Pellegrino, Co-Founder and CEO of LayerZero Labs. “We are excited to help bring interoperability to one of the fastest-growing ecosystems in crypto.”
Interoperability built for scale
LayerZero has become a core infrastructure provider for the multi-chain ecosystem, which now spans hundreds of blockchains. By connecting every type of network (public and private L1s and L2s) and enabling composable DeFi experiences, LayerZero helps apps reach global scale. For instance, over 61% of stablecoins move across blockchains with LayerZero.
This integration brings these network effects to Sui. Developers will be able to tap into liquidity and assets from across the entire blockchain landscape, including many Bitcoin-based assets, Ethereum, and Solana. The combination of LayerZero’s messaging with Sui’s horizontally scalable architecture creates a powerful platform for apps built on Sui, which already supports $2 billion in TVL and processes nearly $13 billion in monthly DEX volume.
A better model for builders and users
Sui was designed as the global coordination layer for digital assets. With parallel execution, sub-second finality, and an object-based programming model powered by Move, Sui allows developers to build intuitive apps that scale with demand.
Adding LayerZero to the Sui ecosystem gives builders more tools to make their apps compatible with Sui from the start, unlocking new opportunities across general DeFi, Bitcoin DeFi (BTCfi), consumer apps, gaming, and more.
The new hub for cross-chain innovation
Builders will soon be integrating LayerZero endpoints to extend their apps across more than 140 blockchains. To start exploring LayerZero on Sui, visit the LayerZero documentation and explore the Sui Developer Portal.
